Alteration Terms and Conditions
Business and order agreement
These terms apply to our alteration and tailoring services. We provide the applicable terms before order approval. Your approved order records the work, price, payment schedule, fitting plan and requested completion date. Any separately signed bridal or custom-work agreement also applies. The version accepted for an order governs that order unless a later change is agreed in writing.
Appointments and preparation
Please bring the intended shoes, undergarments, shapewear and relevant accessories. Tell us the event date and any hard deadline before approving work. Contact us promptly if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. No appointment cancellation or no-show fee applies unless we disclose its amount and conditions before booking and you accept them.
Garment condition and item inventory
At drop-off we document the garments and separate pieces received, relevant condition and approved work. Please review the list and identify any omission. Label separate accessories with the order number. At collection we review the items returned. Tell us promptly about missing pieces; an inventory acknowledgment does not prevent investigation of a later-discovered problem.
Fittings and customer comfort
Our fitter may need to measure, pin or mark a garment near the bust, waist, seat or other sensitive areas. We explain what is needed and ask permission. You may ask questions, request a pause, decline a step, or request another fitter or support person, subject to availability. If a fitting step is declined, we will discuss any practical limitation before accepting the work.
Fit instructions and irreversible changes
Please review the desired tightness, length, bustle and custom details recorded during fitting. Cutting, removing fabric or changing construction may prevent later reversal. A closer fit can expose existing lining, seam allowances, boning or labels. Delicate, aged, previously altered or embellished material can limit achievable results. We document known risks and obtain approval; this does not excuse careless work or unsafe garment handling.
Quotes and additional work
Phone and online estimates are approximate until we inspect the garment. The approved order controls the scope and estimate. If additional work becomes necessary or you change the request, we explain the new price and timeline and obtain approval before proceeding. A new request or changed measurements is assessed separately from correction of an error in our work.
Cancellation after work begins and rush work
Work can begin soon after approval. For rush or custom work authorized to begin immediately, there is no guaranteed cancellation window. If you ask us to stop an order already in progress, we will identify completed work, committed materials and any remaining unearned payment. We will explain any retained amount; we do not automatically keep payment for work not performed.
Completed services and refunds
Approved services already performed are generally nonrefundable for change of mind, a later preference, or a request to reverse an approved alteration. If you report incomplete work, a departure from approved instructions, damage, loss or another service failure, we will investigate and discuss an appropriate remedy.
Contact admin@sewandglow.com or the manager. We aim to contact you within three business days. Some investigations take up to three weeks.
Production photos and marketing permission
With appropriate notice and permission, we may use garment and fitting images to document instructions, condition and QC. Access is limited to staff and authorized providers who need the information. Separate permission is requested before using identifiable customer images, likeness or voice in public marketing. Declining marketing permission does not affect service. Our Privacy Policy governs information handling.
